While this dessert has a simple name, it is very, very good and very, very rich. Makes lots, I only make it when I can take most of it out of the house and away from my ability to eat too much of it.

This recipe is one my great grandmother provided to my mother. My Mom was having a lot of trouble trying to make pies and get the crust right but with this recipe it got a lot easier. Still a bit challenging in getting the crust rolled out and in the pan but easier than the recipes my Mom had tried to use before this.
My brother decided to grow pumpkins one summer and when fall came around he wanted a pumpkin pie. Fortunately my great grandmother knew how to turn a pumpkin into pie filling so here is her recipe.
This is a quick breakfast item to make if you use canned biscuits. If you have more time you can use a home made recipe, like this biscuit recipe to add some flavor.
