Description

Based on experiences growing up and my own cooking experience I have decided that the women in my family are not always super excited about spending a lot of time cooking. As a result I have a pretty good collection of recipes that are quick to fix and which use ingredients that don't require a lot of preparation time. This recipe is one of those that fit the guidelines. Makes a good sized batch and makes good left overs.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Hamburger
  • 8 oz Ranch Style Beans
  • 24 oz Campbells Tomato Soup
  • 12 oz Water (1/2 Soup Can)
  • 1 pn Chili Powder - To Taste

Instructions

Brown the hamburger and after cooking drain off the grease. In a pot mix up the hamburger, tomato soup, ranch style beans and water. Add in chili powder, depending on how much flavor you want to add. I usually add in between 1/8th and 1/4 teaspoon but I'm a wimp on spicy foods. Heat to boiling and turn to simmer. Let simmer for 5 minutes, can be served or stored for leftovers.

Notes

The fun part of this recipe is that you can vary the ingredients depending on how many you have to feed and what you feel like. If you need to stretch the recipe add more water, add more beans to thicken the soup up a bit.

If you can't find the large cans of Campbell's Tomato Soup you can use 3 of the smaller cans and add water to taste.
