So, as some of you folks know, I've been Spring Cleaning, shedding assorted stuff from the past three deacades of my life. I've been blessed with a frugal mother, and learned how to own a sale. As such, I acquired a TON of stuff.
A quick and easy Sausage gravy. Serve with fave biscuits or bread for a nice meal.
A rather quick starter Alfredo Sauce. Add exotic cheeses and get creative later! My wee one would eat this sauce over pasta with steamed broccoli on the side every day if I let him!
Want to enjoy pop tarts, AND save money? Yes... you can!
These aren't "perfect", but they're pretty close.
I actually got this recipe online somewhere (I forget where, or i'd credit it.) and made a few tweaks to it, but otherwise, it's a great Pop Tart recipe, easy to make, fun for the family, and well, you'll have a hard time not eating every single one as soon as they come out of the oven.
Average cost is about 60 cents per batch of 16.
Tired of payin' Mr. "Hoo-Hoo!" $3 for a can of 10 measly biscuits? Stop wasting money!
Make your own at home. They're cheap. They're economical. They're quick to make (and you don't have to lose an eye from the pop of the can!) ... and they taste great! You can even make extra, and freeze them to cook later!
Average cost is about a dollar per batch. Your mileage may vary.
Average cost per loaf is about 45 cents per loaf, or more than half off even the cheapest bread in the store. Since almost all of the principal ingredients can be bought in bulk, this is a great way to make room on your grocery bill for other things!
This recipe also works perfectly in any bread machine.
